This week is the first anniversary of the “Certificate in Irish Whiskey” published by the Edinburgh Whisky Academy, and authored by Matt Healy, Editor Potstilled.com and Phd. Candidate and Author Fionnán O’Connor.
In that year, over 600 candidates have undertaken this in-depth course on Irish whiskey, to better their knowledge of the history, the industry and the modern production practices of the category. Hailing from 26 countries from across the world, these newly qualified Irish whiskey enthusiasts and industry professionals undertook a series of video lessons, and interactive exercises, covering 8 in-depth modules.
According to the Edinburgh Whisky Academy, feedback has been excellent. From a “Great program” with “Valuable information for the novice and expert” to “Comprehensive, informative and in-depth”.
