Welcome to this feature length episode of Potstilled Live – The Podcast! In this episode I am joined by Irish whiskey historian and Phd candidate, Fionnán O’Connor. As a part of his Phd he has uncovered a treasure trove of Vintage Column Still mashbills from across Ireland from the 1700’s until the decline of the industry in the 1900’s.
Fionnán tells us about the agro-economic issues that led to the rise and fall of certain grains and where this column still whiskey distillate was destined for.
These epsiodes are recorded live, with a different live audience each time. Viewer interactions, and recording quality of guests may vary from epiosde to epsiode.
