A review of Gilby’s famous Redbreast 12 year old single pot still whiskey.
Colour: Ruby gold
Nose: Definitely complex like the label says, fruity sweetness, sherry, coppery malt aroma and hints of citrus.
Palate: Soft open, pot still spice, malt flavours, and hints of vanilla.
Finish: Long finish, pot still spice and lingering wood.
Score: 90/100.
Definitely a fantastic expression of Irish Pot Still Whiskey. My personal go to “sipping” whiskey for those trips to the pub. The complexity and deliciousness of both the nose and palate just put it one little leg up on Yellow Spot for me personally. Definitely going to keep a bottle of this on my shelf.
Haven’t ventured into Irish Whiskey yet. After reading this review, I just might have to. Great review keep up the good work!
Potstilled,
I hope you don’t mind, but I would like to use your review format for my own reviews.

Yeah no problem man! I can’t take credit for the style though it’s the review format for reddit’s scotchit aka reddit.com/r/scotch I just applied it here since it’s super clear I think 😀
I apppreciate it. That was what I liked about it. It has a no nonsense style that I like
