Advent #11 – The Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey

The Silkie Irish whiskey is the first independent bottling from the soon to be constructed Sliabh Liag Distillery in Co. Donegal. Plans are in place to have this distillery constructed at some point in 2019 and, here they will distill both single pot still and single malt whiskeys that will be triple distilled and peated, following the traditional peating of whiskey in the Donegal region. Advent #9 – Hyde 1938 No. 6 Sherry Finish

Hyde whiskey has been hot on the release trail over the last few years adding a number of different editions to their already impressive family range of whiskeys. Advent #7 – Roe & Co. Whiskey

The world of Irish Whiskey was shocked when Diageo made the announcement, in 2014, that they would be selling their stake in the Old Bushmills Irish Whiskey Distillery. It seemed that they would be leaving the Irish whiskey industry, right as it was on the cusp of a boom. Well their inactivity didn’t last too long. Roe & Co.
