I don’t say this lightly… You have never tasted a whiskey like the Currach Irish Whiskey. When I was first approached by Origin Spirits’ Export Sales Manager, Stephen Randles, to try this whiskey, he informed me that he had an incredibly unique whiskey for me to try. Redbreast Release New Core Range 27 Year Old

Irish Distillers, last night, officially launched their new 27 year old Redbreast Single Pot Still whiskey. This new permanent expression, will sit as the head of the core Redbreast family, and will deliver a differentiated flavour aspect to the rest of the core range. With whiskeys matured in ruby port barrels, the Irish Distillers’ team promise that this will bring new complexity and depth to the Redbreast range.

The Irish Victors at the World Whiskies Awards 2020

The results from the World Whiskies Awards 2020 were announced yesterday with a host of different whisk(e)y categories and styles from every whiskey producing country in the world being judged on a like for like basis. As always, there was a strong Irish contingent entered into the awards, that are judged in London. The whiskeys from Ireland were judged in the “Irish Whiskeys Category” which was broken down into a multitude of categories that sought to find the best Irish whiskeys in each category. Glendalough Pot Still – A Must Buy

Glendalough have been busy in the last few months releasing a myriad of whiskeys, each more exciting than the last, its hard to know which way to look.
