As the love and passion for whiskey in Ireland grows, so too does the number of whiskey societies, clubs, groups and tasting communities. These whiskey societies are a fantastic place to bring together those looking to enjoy and learn more about the spirit of Ireland.
Thankfully, those living in Ireland’s Garden County of Wicklow will no longer need to travel out of their county to find these likeminded people, with the launch of Wicklow Whiskey Society. The inaugural society event is set to take place in Bray’s Harbour Bar, on the 2nd of November, and promises to bring together three of Wicklow’s own distilleries to launch the society.
The society is organised and hosted by a collaboration between Whiskey Events Ireland and Experience Irish Whiskey, both companies known for bringing unique whiskey experiences to the people of Ireland.

Tickets are strictly limited and priced at €40 each, which can be found here. Kicking off the festivities Garden County Distillery, Glendalough Distillery, and Powerscourt Distillery will each present two whiskeys to newcomers and whiskey anoraks alike. The Harbour Bar will be the first of the venues for the society with Martello Bray and Frank Duff’s the other locations for the society in Bray.
Welcome canapés, Food platters, a welcome cocktail, a local beer and entertainment all provided on the night, which will be provided by Karl Cooney of Dublin Cocktail Lab and Santina Kennedy from Wicklow Naturally.
Ticket prices are strictly for the admission on the inaugural event and do not include continued membership, should members decide to purchase on going membership in the society, €40 will be removed from the price of the membership.
